The History of Softverk

Softverk is a software company founded in 2001, and has been operated in its current form since January 2008. The foundation of the operation is the approximately twenty years of experience in the software business of the company’s founders. In late 2007, the idea came up of starting up a company that would develop software for real estate agencies. After considerable preparation, Softverk started business. The company has offices in Reykjavík, London and Bangkok. Thus, the company is operated on a global basis, with an Icelandic vision and diverse knowledge.

Today, Softverk offers various services. Besides the real estate sale system Saga Property which is already in use in Iceland and will be introduced shortly in other countries. Softverk also offers extensive computer- and software services, as well as IP phone systems for companies. Softverk has placed itself in the forefront of software companies in Iceland, and within the company we strive constantly at introducing new technologies and maintaining the level of knowledge, to be able to hold that status. The number of employees has gone from one to just under thirty in the first eighteen months of business. Lately, we have focused on quality matters within the company, and the goal is to get an ISO quality standard certificate next year.
